- Mr. Sarnoff is the son of David Sarnoff, the radio and television pioneer whose
rags-to-riches story culminated in the presidency of the RCA empire, which included the
first television network, NBC, and other history-making companies. Thomas Sarnoff
himself became West Coast President of NBC, and he was a key participant in the first
national television broadcast. Here he shares his stories regarding the early days of
television and the development of NBC.
