History Heard was designed as an easy-to-use and carefully indexed database of primary source video interviews for students. The goal is to make researching history projects a more engaging process for an increasingly video-oriented generation. The videos are intended to compliment and contribute to more conventional research methodology, not replace it.
Like any good journey, getting there is half the fun. Please explore and take advantage of our videos. Using the History Heard video library is entirely free!
However, we need your help to build our video library. Our goal is to have a constantly growing video database to which students from across the country contribute. We think that creating History Heard videos is an easy and fun way to get a hands-on approach to a modern history education. Doing interviews can make a great class assignment or extra credit project. Our library will only be available to students and teachers if students and teachers help us to build it.
Creating a History Heard video is easy. Take a look at the "Getting Started" section of our website or email us for more information at aaddison@historyheard.com.
