Please pass on this brief message about History Heard:
Entirely student managed, History Heard is non-profit history and
education initiative, the largest of its kind in the world! It creates video interviews with first-person
witnesses to history; essentially building a vast video tapestry of modern
American and World history. Current videos have already been viewed nearly
25,000 times! The computer scientists who created the Internet, the inventor of
the cell phone, a woman who fled Nazi Germany, the President of Lithuania
during the collapse of the Soviet Bloc, the widow of a Tuskegee Airman and
dozens of others have already shared their amazing stories.
The goal of History Heard is to bridge the gap between today’s video
oriented students and teachers who had been limited to printed text for
research. Entirely free for all students and teachers, History Heard is
countering the devastating effects of the economic recession in the classroom.
It levels the playing field of classroom resources between the wealthiest
private schools and the most challenged rural or inner city public school
systems. Learn more and explore by visiting History
Heard on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/History.Heard or contact the student founder, Amy Addison,
